When we bought our 1928 Arts & Crafts house in Lincoln it needed thorough restoration. We asked our friends if they could recommend a plumber who would enjoy working on the project. This was how we met Tom. Over the past ten years as the project progressed Tom has been responsible for all of our plumbing work including new installation and routine maintenance. While we were planning the bathroom Tom volunteered that he also does tiling. The accompanying pictures illustrate the quality of his workmanship. From time to time friends have had plumbing emergencies and we have called on Tom to help and he always responds promptly and efficiently. My own horror story was when fixing a loose board in the bathroom a nail went through a water pipe under pressure. A previous plumber long ago had thoughtlessly cut a channel in a joist under the nail holes of a floor board to install the central heating. There I was finger over the hole and telephone in the other hand crying ‘help’. Luckily Tom was working locally and was around in ten minutes to relieve my little Dutch boy impression. Tom is a tennis enthusiast so try to avoid having a plumbing problem during Wimbledon.
